The10th JINR Expertise for Member States and Partner Countries
JINR
4 - 8 February 2019

The10th JINR Expertise for Member States and Partner Countries took place on February 4-8, 2019. Among participants there were scientists and administrative officers from Russia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, South African Republic and Republic of Egypt. Also three participants from Czech Republic took part in the event: doc. Ing. Jan Hošek, Ph.D. (Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of CTU), Ing. Martin Janda (Department of Designing and Machine Components, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of CTU) and Mgr. Jan Machonin.
Mr. Hošek expressed his hope that his students in engineering sciences would be able to come to JINR. “Having visited Dubna, I was very impressed by and interested in the research fields of JINR. My Faculty cooperates with CERN in various projects. I am sure that our organizations may develop cooperation in the engineering fields in addition to physics.”
The four-day schedule included visits of the main JINR scientific departments and lectures of their heads about the history of laboratories and the recent research.
There was also space given to national delegations for lectures and courses about research programs and education projects in their countries.
The event was also an opportunity for networking between participants and thinking over opportunities of collaboration in science, education and business. Last but not least, the organizers had presented to the participants of JEMS the opportunities provided by JINR for the staff and visiting students: there are many modern sports facilities in the city of Dubna and their suburbs, the JINR University Centre and there are also cultural institutions intended for all interested in arts, music and literature.
